Base is heavy and beautifully designed. The tube that holds the umbrella tree is plastic and can last 2 seasons but perhaps not a third. by Jim B.

It comes in four separate triangular pieces to fit between each space in the cross base of the umbrella. This umbrella base is very easy to open to fill with sand, water, etc... This base will add over 100lbs to prevent the Umbrella from falling over. This base is a great asset to our umbrella stand! It is very, very durable and very easy to maintain. I'm so glad we have this base for those months, when the wind is blowing really bad. We don't have to worry about our umbrella falling over!
